The Walk ‘n’ Talk Collective provides a supportive environment where individuals can connect, share experiences, and promote mental well-being. Their mission is to break down barriers associated with men’s mental health issues by offering a safe space for individuals to support each other. Through these walks, they aim to reduce feelings of isolation and foster a sense of community, empowering individuals to take charge of their mental health and promote a culture of openness and support.

_{Meet the Founders: Chris Bennett and Jordan Meehan}

Chris Bennett and Jordan Meehan, both Rockhampton locals, co-founded the Walk ‘n’ Talk Collective. Their journey began when they met while working as tradesman, and they quickly bonded over their shared passion for helping others who, like them, have faced mental health challenges. With backgrounds in the community sector, Chris and Jordan understand the critical need for increased awareness and proactive measures to support the mental and emotional well-being of adults, children, and families, especially men. 

_{Our Contribution}

You definitely won’t miss the new wheels rolling around town and Ian Weigh Toyota has donated $5,000 towards the Collective’s new “Hub,” which is currently being built on Dean Street. This Hub will serve as a central location for their activities and support services. We will be sharing updates on their progress over the next few weeks, so stay tuned!
